Jim Goode is Senior Director, TECH Delivery Transformation, for Capital One Financial Corporation, a diversified bank with 65 million customer accounts worldwide and branch locations in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Capital One’s subsidiaries offer a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients through a variety of channels.
Mr. Goode is the Program Manager for Capital One’s EASE initiative, which is driving a fully integrated, unified customer experience across all Capital One’s lines of business. Additionally, Mr. Goode is accountable for enterprise Agile coaching services and for program leadership of Capital One’s ongoing evolution of Agile practices, including the scrum master role and scaled agile.
Since joining Capital One in 1999, Mr. Goode has also led the company’s efforts to implement solutions delivery and project/portfolio management practices in technology operations as well as the initial Agile transformation across 3 different lines of business. Additionally, he has been the technology program lead for several large enterprise initiatives such as the Tribute for Heroes 9/11 Telethon, consolidation of 22 data centers, and banking customer service systems integration.
Prior to Capital One, Mr. Goode was the Director of Information Systems for CSX Corporation, a Systems Implementation Consultant for a financial planning/reporting software company servicing Fortune 500 clients nationwide, and a high school math teacher.
Mr. Goode is originally from Texas and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame along with a Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
